This Privacy Policy explains how Life Forge ("we," "us," or "the app") collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use the Life Forge mobile application. Life Forge is a gamified life-management app designed to help you organize tasks, habits, focus sessions, and personal goals.
We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices. By using Life Forge, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

We collect only the information necessary to provide the app's functionality.
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and a securely hashed password. This is handled through our authentication provider, Supabase, and is used to identify your account and let you sign in across devices.
Content you create. Life Forge stores the information you enter into the app so it can sync across your devices and persist over time. This includes: tasks, habits, goals, focus sessions, captured notes and reminders, people and check-in records you add, finance entries you choose to log (bills, savings goals, transactions, shopping and wish lists), home organization data, hobby logs, daily check-in entries (such as sleep, energy, water, food, and exercise ratings), and your in-app progress (experience points, levels, and character stats).
Device and technical information. To deliver core functionality, the app may process basic technical data such as your device type and operating system version. If you enable reminders, the app schedules local notifications on your device.
What we do NOT collect. Life Forge does not use advertising, does not include third-party advertising or analytics SDKs, does not track you across other apps or websites, does not collect your precise location, and does not access your contacts, camera, photos, or microphone unless you explicitly grant a specific permission for a feature that requires it. We do not sell your personal information.
We use the information we collect solely to:
We process this data on the legal basis of performing our contract with you (providing the app's functionality) and, where applicable, your consent (for example, notification permissions).
Your data is stored using Supabase, a third-party backend and database provider, on secured cloud infrastructure. Data is protected in transit using encryption (HTTPS/TLS) and access is restricted through row-level security so that you can only access your own data.
Some data is also cached locally on your device to allow the app to work smoothly and offline.
While we take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Life Forge relies on the following third-party service to operate:
We disclose every third-party service that receives your data. We do not share your personal information with any other third parties except as required by law.
We retain your account and content data for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account, your data is permanently removed as described below. You may also delete individual items within the app at any time.
You have control over your data:
Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under laws such as the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), including the right to know what personal information we hold, the right to request its deletion, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Because we do not sell or share your personal information for advertising, there is no "Do Not Sell or Share" action required, but you may still exercise the rights above by contacting us.

Life Forge is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at LifeForgeApp@proton.me and we will delete it.
Your information may be stored and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. By using the app, you understand that your data may be transferred to and processed in these locations, which may have different data protection laws than your country of residence. We take steps to ensure your data is handled in accordance with this policy.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the app. Your continued use of Life Forge after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
